Body as Landscape as Body

Description

Experiencing the human body as a landscape gives way to our human bodies becoming a metaphor for the landscapes of the earth. The anatomy of the human body, comprised of cells and structures that form skin, muscles, bones, a nervous system and circulatory system all of which co-exist to give form and function mirrors the structures of the earth. The roles of support and protection parts of our human anatomy have, are no different to the roles of the ice caps of Antarctica and the Arctic to the earth.
